All the citizens from Nigeria require a visa to travel to Rwanda. Do Nigerians need a VISA for Rwanda?

It is mandatory for Nigerian citizens to hold a valid visa for Rwanda prior to boarding to Rwanda. Nigerian citizens must hold a valid and unexpired passport to apply for Visa Rwanda. Visa Rwanda can be used to travel for holiday or family visit purposes. The estimated average time to complete the online visa application is 10-15 minutes. Visa Rwanda is a single or double entry document allowing Nigerian citizens to visit Rwanda with time period that does not exceed 30 or 90 days depending on the chosen type of visa. The Republic of Rwanda allows nationals of all countries as well as nationals from Nigeria that are not exempt from visa to apply online to receive a tourist e-visa. All applicants from Nigeria must hold a passport that is valid for at least 6 months with at least one blank page. To apply online for Rwanda visa visitors from Nigeria also need to provide their e-mail address, they need to hold a valid credit/debit card to be able to pay the fee. To be able to receive a visa to Rwanda travelers from Nigeria also need to provide digital photocopies of their valid passports and a passport-sized photograph. One will also need to present World Health Organization (WHO) card with yellow fever vaccination if entering from the countries listed on the Rwandan Immigration website. This type of visa is valid for holiday and business purposes only, work in Rwanda is not permitted on this visa.


Rwanda VISA application for Nigerian Citizens

All citizens from Nigeria planning to visit Rwanda for holidays, family visit or business purposes can apply for their eVisa online. To apply Nigerian nationals must provide the following documents:

  • Passport
  • Email address
  • Debit/credit card
  • Passport and passport-sized photo scans

The online application is very simple, Nigerian passport holders traveling to Rwanda will need to fill in an application form. In the application form Nigerian nationals will need to provide their personal information according to their passport, such as their full name and surname, sex, date of birth, passport details. The Nigerian citizens applying for Rwanda eVisa will also need to provide their residential address as well as address in Rwanda. Nigerian passport holders traveling to Rwanda will also need to answer some questions regarding their employment, travel purpose, and some other background questions. Once the application is filled you will need to attach the required supporting documents. Later on, you will be redirected to the payment page where you will need to use your credit or debit card to submit the payment.
